Area control center of monitoring, recording and management (ACC MRM) represents the innovative solutuion – Superterminal – for simultaneous remote access to MSSR and other surveillance aids located on different points.
THE MAIN FUNCTIONS OF ACC MRM «SUPERTERMINAL»
- Monitoring of equipment status (basic functions of control)
- Enhanced control (gathering and visualization of equipment parameters in real time with the use of special program tools)
- Equipment management (basic management, changes of parameters and configuration)
- Archiving of equipment status
- Weekly archives preparation (system logs of MSSR) for further analysis
- Periodical report preparation on condition and main indicators of equipment performance.
MONITORING OF EQUIPMENT STATUS
Visual surveillance over MSSR condition and its subsystems and units is understood to be monitoring.
For this purpose the terminal has slide (picture) where connected MSSRs are shown or other equipment. Each MSSR has its relevant icon and title of radar-location position (RLP).
MSSR condition and links are indicated by color.
If the detailed analysis of MSSR with history of accidents, warnings, parameters change and other is required you can open the relevant MSSR Remote terminal with the use of Superterminal.
ENHANCED CONTROL
Enhanced control means to get more detailed information about equipment parameters in real time i.a. as far as the changes of these parameters.
Software application is provided for each type of parameters. Application makes it possible to visualize relevant parameters in the best way depending on display environment. The examples of such applications are the results of receiver tests or transmitter power measurement.
The specialty of this option is the necessity of more intensive traffic between MSSR and Terminal. In order this option is available, broadband links are required. If there are physical layer converters such as DSL routers or Ethernet converters RS-232/422 on the way of information distribution, some functions of enhanced control may be unavailable.
CONTROL
Control may be of two types: basic control and change in configuration parameters.
The basic control means running the command of switching on, switching off, tract change and demand modes.
Change in configuration parameters makes it possible to consider peculiarities of particular RLP.
According to control philosophy, MSSR Aurora can have 3 management terminals: local and two remote terminals. Superterminal can act as one of remote terminals.
In order that Superterminal can control MSSR it’s required that configuration of these MSSR terminals was adjusted appropriately.
INFORMATION ARCHIVING STATUS
Upsizing of monitoring and control function in ACC MRM makes it possible to archive and keep information of all MSSRs in this consolidated center. So the notion of the system log is extended to archive status of all MSSRs in region.
The retention time can be as long as required and it is determined by data medium capacity. The data medium can be portable so that full data medium can be changed on empty ones.
Superterminal has aids for filtration and clear presentation of archiving data.
PREPARATION OF WEEKLY REPORTS
Superterminal can be configured for preparation of weekly reports for the further analysis.
If superterminal computer is connected to mail server the prepared archives can be automatically sent.
STATUS REPORT PREPARATION
Superterminal has tools for report preparation adjustment on connected equipment status. The reports are formed periodically, the cycle and its components can be adjusted.
The report may contain statistics on key performance indicator (KPI) as well as information on accidents and warnings. KPI represents the main parameter (not obligatory) of some subsystem by which the one could assess the performance. For example, the transmitter is defined by radiant power and SWR while receiver is defined by sensitivity level. Another example – KPI SD – the quantity of targets in different surveillance channels.
The form of KPI can be adjusted, f.e. radiant power can be presented as frequency distribution while quantity of targets – as time based historical graph.
All reports are hold in separate archive and can be read later at any time. As well as weekly archive, the report after preparation can be sent by e-mail. |
