Mode S MSSR with ADS-B 1090 function «Aurora» - is the first Russian monopulse secondary radar with mode S.

Standard monitoring in mode S (coordinates: downrange, azimuth, barometric altitude, mode code A, aircraft identification, mode address S) was added to 3 MSSR “Aurora” surveillance channels (RBS, ATC, ADS-B 1090ES).

Mode S MSSR with ADS-B 1090 “Aurora” has successfully passed certified tests in December 2011 and obtained supplement №3 to certificate №532.

Radar fully complies with ICAO requirements ICAO Annex 10, volume 4 regarding MSSR and DO-260A RTCA the USA – regarding ADS-B 1090 ES.

Mode S MSSR with ADS-B 1090 Function “Aurora” is made according to the last digital technologies and doesn’t have analog adjustment.

Aircrafts positioning accuracy is not affected by distance between them and ADS-B ground equipment.

Receiver setup and use of special algorithms ensuring digital processing of signals provides high probability (over 0,99 per 4 sec.) of detecting not less than 2000 targets.

Additional comparative monitoring of MSSR data and ADS-B information regarding air targets permits verifying validity of surveillance data.
