25.03.14 - JSC "VNIIRA" actively participated in the World ATM Congress-2014
JSC "VNIIRA" presented new developments in the field of air traffic control at the second International Congress of World ATM Congress in Madrid.
More than 6,000 experts from 128 countries met from 4 to 6 March in the exhibition center IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, to discuss the future development and identify ways of cooperation in the field of air traffic management.
The event, organized by the International Organization for Air Navigation Services (CANSO), was attended by 190 companies which presented their achievements and the latest technology in exhibition World ATM Congress-2014.
In this year JSC "VNIIRA" presented at the booth most recent version of air traffic control (ATC) automation system "SINTEZ", was equipped the Sochi Airport in preparation for the Winter Olympic Games.
Functional capabilities of the system allow for air traffic control to a fundamentally new level, giving an opportunity to reduce the human impact and improve safety by automating information processing, automatic binding flight plans to the current position of aircraft, forecasting the development of the traffic situation and warnings controllers about potentially dangerous situations in advance.
System and its capabilities have been highly appreciated by specialists of air navigation services from Spain, Holland, Germany, Canada, Japan, China and other countries.
On the booth "VNIIRA" for industry professionals has been successfully presented complex system simulator — a high-tech product designed for training different points ATC controller’s skills of air traffic control and the use of ATC.
Great interest among specialists air navigation services of the CIS countries, South America and Southeast Asia caused Multi-position surveillance system "MERA" ("MERA" MSS) and presented compact small sized all-weather ground station ADS-B 1090 ES "NS-1А" used as a receiving station MSS "MERA". It provides surveillance for aircrafts equipped by automatic dependent surveillance – ADS-B 1090 ES and data transfer to operation centers of air traffic.
For 3 days of the exhibition booth JSC "VNIIRA" attended by more than 20 official delegations representing air navigation services in different countries.
