29.08.11 - The education of 3 shifts of controllers for work in Khabarovsk consolidated centre on ATM system of new generation «Sintez-R3» has been completed
On August 29, the education of 120 controllers in Khabarovsk consolidated centre was completed within the modernization of air hub. The preparation of controllers was assisted by experts and specialists from VNIIRA – the organization that developed and delivered CATCAA ATC «Sintez-Р3» and CATCAA “Sintez-IFPS” equipment.
Consolidated centre in Khabarovsk is the first project within the fulfillment of FTP “Modernization of unified ATM system of the Russian Federation” (2009-2015 years). The key element that allowed to implement this project was the ATM system (AS ATM) developed on the basis of CATCAA ATC «Sintez-Р3» and CATCAA «Sintez-IFPS».
Vladimir Ivanov is the chief designer of VNIIRA declared: “Commissioning of AS ATM will make it possible to control air space in the Far East 5 mln km in area from consolidated centre in Khabarovsk as well as take to a new level the safety of air flights and increase airspace capacity. Our system will sufficiently reduce the load on controller and enhance flight economy”.
The system in scale and automation level meets the world analogs. According to the classification by Eurocontrol AS ATM in Khabarovsk meets the third level (among 4 levels) that is higher than modern European ATC centers have”.
